The DMF-Y-76S pulse valve is a 3-inch submerged (tank-mounted) diaphragm pulse jet valve used in industrial dust collector systems. It controls short bursts of compressed air to clean filter bags or filter cartridges in a baghouse dust collector.
How does a DMF-Y-76S pulse valve work?
The working process is:
- The dust collector controller sends an electrical pulse signal to the solenoid coil.
- The solenoid opens the pilot air passage.
- Pressure above the diaphragm is released.
- The compressed air inside the air tank pushes the diaphragm open.
- A powerful air pulse is released through the blow pipe into the filter bags.
- The air shock wave removes accumulated dust from the filter surface.
This cleaning cycle usually lasts only a fraction of a second, allowing continuous dust collector operation.

Common replacement models
The DMF-Y-76S is often compared with or replaced by:
- SBFEC DMF-Y-76S
- DMF-Z-76S (thread-connected version)
- ASCO 3″ pulse valves
- Goyen 3″ pulse valves
- Mecair 3″ pulse valves
When selecting a replacement, the most important factors are:
- Port size (3″)
- Valve installation type (tank-mounted or threaded)
- Coil voltage
- Pressure range
- Diaphragm material (NBR, EPDM, FKM)
